Flat Weight Benches

Flat Weight Benches

A flat bench is the most stable bench you can press on: no hinge, no adjustment, just a solid frame and a firm pad. Both of our flat benches are rated to 450kg, so they'll take a heavy bench press in a home, garage or commercial gym.

Which flat bench?

  • Competition Flat Bench 2.0: built to IPF height, for lifters who compete or train to competition standards.
  • Team Flat Bench: a strong, lighter bench that's easy to move around a home gym or studio, in three colours.

Want incline and decline too? See our adjustable benches. Setting up from scratch? Our bench press sets put a rack, bench and barbell in one order.

Flat Bench FAQs

Why choose a flat bench over an adjustable one?

A flat bench has no hinge or adjustment, so it's the most stable choice for heavy bench pressing. If you also want incline presses and seated shoulder work, an adjustable bench covers more exercises.

How much weight can your flat benches hold?

The Competition Flat Bench 2.0 and the Team Flat Bench are both rated to 450kg.

How high should a flat bench be?

Around 43cm (17in) suits most lifters and lets you plant your feet flat for leg drive. The Competition Flat Bench 2.0 is built to that IPF height.

Will a flat bench fit in my power rack?

Yes. Set your J-cups so you can unrack with slightly bent arms, and set the spotter arms just below your chest when you press heavy on your own.
