Again Faster 32.5kg Rubber Coated Round Dumbbells (you may occasionally see round head dumbbells referred to elsewhere as “pro-style” dumbbells) are a must-have training tool for commercial and home gyms alike. 2.5kg is the smallest size of rounded dumbbell, so our 32.5kg dumbbells are one of the larger sizes; however, sizes go all of the way up to a hefty 50kg. 

They are manufactured using a single piece of cast iron and are coated with rubber to reduce noise when dropping and to reduce impact damage on your flooring.

Round heads are also even kinder to flooring than hex head dumbbells due to having no edges and are also considered by most to be slightly safer for dropping by having a more predictable bounce. Being round, they are also less susceptible to wear and cracking over the years.

A unique feature of our Round Dumbbells is their fully rubber-coated handle, whereas most similar products will feature a metal handle. The type of handle is generally a matter of preference and varies from person to person, but a lot of people find that rubber handles offer a superior grip. The rubber features a textured grip instead of traditional knurling, and many report that this is easier on the hands than bare metal. This can prove essential when performing high rep workouts, where something more forgiving on the hands is generally welcomed.

On our Round Dumbbells, the handle is straight instead of the ergonomic design you find on many dumbbells. This, too, is a matter of preference, but many find the straight handle to offer better grip, especially at higher weights.

Another often-overlooked but huge advantage of the rubber handle – and this will be of great interest to home gym owners who work out in an outbuilding or garage – is that they are not nearly as cold to pick up when you want to exercise in the winter. When you’re up at the crack of dawn, your early workout can be that little bit more pleasant by not having to handle bare metal that feels like it has spent the night in the freezer!
