Our popular Rubber Coated Hex Dumbbells are now available with a rubber handle! Manufactured using a single piece of cast iron, the heavy-duty heads are rubber coated for noise reduction and to reduce impact damage to your flooring. The hex-shaped heads are staples of many gyms thanks to not rolling away, which comes in handy when performing back-to-back movements as part of a HIIT workout, or simply in any busy class or gym setting.

The unique feature of this range of dumbbells is its handle. On this version of our Hex Dumbbells, you have the traditional, tapered, ergonomic handle design that you find on our Evolution Hex Dumbbells. This style of handle is designed to offer a great fit in the palm, essential in functional workouts especially. The key difference with this version is that the handle is rubber coated with a textured grip instead of traditional, metal knurling.

The style of handle is a personal preference, with some preferring the grip on the rubber handle and others prefer the metal handles. However, many find the rubber-handled version of our dumbbells easier on their hands than their metal counterparts, and a lot of people report that they find that it offers superior grip too. Especially on higher rep workouts, something that is kinder to your hands is usually welcomed.

Also – and this is crucial for all you home gym owners who exercise in a garage or outbuilding – the rubber handle has the significant advantage of not being nearly as cold to the touch when you want to work out on a winter day. Those crack-of-dawn sessions in your home gym can be that little bit more pleasant when not having to handle bare metal that feels like it's been in the freezer overnight!

*This product is delivered with a protective oil to maintain and preserve the materials during storage and transport. This will reduce over time and dry out, or you can clean the equipment with a slightly damp cloth and dry it.
