Folding Power & Squat Racks

Folding Squat Racks & Wall-Mounted Power Racks
A folding rack fixes to the wall and swings back against it when you've finished, so a garage, spare room or studio gets its floor back. You still get a proper rack to squat, bench and press in, with J-cups to hold the bar and a pull-up bar overhead. If you can't fix to a wall, freestanding cable tower squat stands give you a rack and a cable station in a narrow footprint.

Measure before you buy
- Wall: a folding rack is only as strong as its fixings. Fix into solid masonry or properly secured timber with fixings suited to your wall.
- Ceiling: the Rival Folding Power Rack is 2214mm tall and its pull-up bar sits at about 89in (2.26m). Leave headroom above that for pull-ups.
- Floor: allow space in front of the rack for a bench, loading plates and walking the bar out.
Folding rack or squat stands?
A folding power rack gives you a four-post frame that takes safety arms and tucks away. Independent squat stands are freestanding and can be moved, but have no frame around you. If you train heavy on your own, choose a rack you can fit with spotter arms. Compare every option in our squat racks and stands and power racks.
Folding Rack FAQs
What is a folding squat rack?
A squat rack that fixes to a wall on hinges. You swing it out to train and fold it back against the wall afterwards, so it takes up very little floor space when you're not using it.
Are folding squat racks safe?
Yes, when they're fixed to a suitable wall with the right fixings and used within their rating. The Rival Folding Power Rack is rated to 300kg when it is secured with the correct wall fixings. Use spotter arms for heavy lifts on your own.
How much ceiling height do I need?
The Rival Folding Power Rack is 2214mm tall, plus headroom above the pull-up bar if you want to do pull-ups. For lower ceilings, look at the Cable Tower Squat Stands (2057mm) or the 72in (183cm) Evolution Power Rack Standard Short.
What comes with the Rival Folding Power Rack?
The rack comes with a set of J-cups with UHMW plastic inserts to protect your bar, a quick-attach pull-up bar, and plastic feet to protect your floor. Use wall fixings suited to your wall, and ask us on chat if you're unsure.
Can I get a folding rack with a bench and weights?
Yes. The Folding Power Rack Bundle adds a 20kg barbell and 100kg of bumper plates, and the Space Saving Rack Press Package adds a weight bench, barbell and attachments. See all bench press sets.
