Sam's Story
I started out as a personal trainer, got quite busy in a commercial gym and looked to have my own facility. That led to one-to-one training and big bootcamps. We had the fun of the bootcamp alongside serious, technique-focused PT, and then found a way to combine the two in small-group personal training.
The biggest thing I've learned is to enjoy the journey. Training technique and programming are only one part of it.
What we've realised, especially in this new facility, is that community and fun are so important. If people enjoy their training, they keep coming back, and as coaches we enjoy it more that way too.
New styles of training come in all the time, but classic resistance training with barbells, cables and dumbbells will always be a big part of any routine, because it works.
The future of training is community-based facilities that promote fun, support and positive mental health.
