We caught up with the Cathedral School Sport Director Mark Barrington, to understand his goals for the recent Again Faster fit out for their school gym
"The school did not have a gym, but it was a high priority to have a space that could be accessible for our pupils and students to be able to progress with their athletic development, health and well-being. The space needed to be flexible to be able to enable our KS3 PE lessons and KS4 Games lessons to take place, along with support sessions for our respective 1st teams.
The space that was made available was a wonderful size, but we wanted to ensure there was flexibility built into the design to ensure we could future proof the space and have a range of abilities be able to access it. The ultimate aim is to improve the athletic abilities of our sportsmen and women and have a place pupils can have their cathartic release from their studies to improve their overall well-being."

The project involved a wide number of contractors to ensure the building was able to be transformed into a suitable gym space. As a result there was around three months of building work. Working around the contractors to ensure a suitable fit out date and delivery of equipment was made easy by the communication and flexibility of Again Faster.
