Heavy & Bulky Equipment Shipping

The majority of our products come under the category of 'heavy and bulky items' in the eyes of the courier, this restricts our options when it comes to shipping. Whilst a clothing manufacturer may be able to offer fast delivery and free returns or even same day delivery, these options are not available to us when shipping 100kg+ of gym equipment to potentially anywhere in Europe.

The price you see at checkout is based on the exact rate quoted by the courier, and is not something we seek to profit from. We have invested a significant amount of resource into negotiating the best rates and service available. To help you better understand our shipping options and prices, we have put together this guide.

Order Processing Lead Times

  • 24 hours for in-stock Again Faster Products
  • 5-10 working days for cardio equipment as these items are not stocked. We have to order from the manufacturer
  • Up to 4 weeks for flooring orders depending on order size.

  • As soon as your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email containing your shipping details, if you cannot see this email please check your spam mailbox.

    Please note that these lead times are subject to change during peak times such as UK Bank Holidays, Black Friday and the Christmas holidays.

    Shipping Costs

    The majority of our equipment is designed to be heavy, which is great for you but bad for the courier.

    A large portion of the items we sell such as barbells, racks and the heavier conditioning kit is classed as overweight and oversized and therefore charged at a premium to us by the couriers. We do our best to offer a competitive rate of shipping whilst not adding any additional cost to the price of the products we sell.

    Redelivery Charges

    In the event of a failed delivery, you will be subject to a redelivery fee as charged to us by the courier. If your order arrives on a pallet and a date has been booked in with you in advance, then you will be subject to another shipping charge for the pallet. If your order arrives boxed then the courier will make 3 attempts to deliver your items before returning the products to us, at which point you will be charged again to re-ship the products.

    Freight Shipping

    Mainland UK

    For all website orders over 200kg in weight, we will ship via a pallet. Griffin Logistics is our UK pallet network partner, you will receive an email as soon as your order has been dispatched. Please see below for some important information regarding pallet deliveries.

    • If you have a specific day that you need delivery, please contact us shortly after you have placed your order to arrange this. Delivery is available on any weekday.
    • If you are opening a new facility, please allow a minimum of 5 working days between the arrival of your equipment and opening to allow for any follow up queries on your shipment.
    • You must ensure that your address and contact number is up-to-date. Once your order is shipped, we cannot make any changes to the delivery address.
    • Pallet deliveries will arrive on an 18 tonne lorry (size of a double decker bus), if you think there will be an issue with accessing your delivery address, please contact us straight away.
    • A pallet delivery will arrive to the curbside or in some cases you may need to assist with the unload, you are responsible for the movement of goods into your facility and the disposal of any packaging.
    • You must be present to accept and sign for your order. You will be responsible for any storage and reshipping fees charged to us by the courier.

    Ireland, Northern Ireland & Europe

    All overseas orders are shipped with a courier called Kuehne & Nagel. Shipping times will vary based on your location and we would recommend that you contact us in advance to ask about shipping times. Overseas shipping relies on the frequency of boats going to your destination and space on the boat to accomodate your order.

    In some circumstances, the website may not be able to calculate the shipping cost of your order and we will need to provide you with a bespoke shipping quote for your order. When contacting us for a bespoke shipping quote, please provide the below information so we can help you as quickly as possible.

    Due to us shipping heavy kit Europe wide, sometimes it means the prices on the website can not be accurate due to the combination of equipment ordered, if you are looking to place a heavy order, we would recommend that you contact us for an accurate shipping quote. We do not charge more than the cost of shipping, but we must ensure we cover the cost of shipping to remain solvent as a company.

    Bulky Shipping Examples

    Home Gym or PT Studio Online Order - UK

    • Evolution Power Rack (standard) - 65.3kg
    • 20kg Team Barbell - 20kg & over 2m long
    • 150kg Bumper Plates - 6 boxes
    • 11 x 1m tiles (20mm thick) - weighing 17.5kg each.
    • Team Adjustable Bench - 35kg
    • Total Order Weight - 462.8kg

    This is an example of a typical home gym order, or perhaps even a small PT studio and comes in at a total weight of nearly half a tonne with some 'oversized' items (rack and barbell). This order would be shipped on a double pallet as this is the cheapest and most efficient option for this order, pallets are charged at a rate of £120 inc VAT giving this order a total cost of £240 to be delivered to a mainland UK address.

    Based on the above shipping thresholds above - you could still add another 35kg to this order (say a kettlebell) and pay the same price in shipping, but if you go over the 500kg threshold, you will move into the next price band for shipping.

    There is no flat rate for shipping to European countries or even Northern Ireland. Each shipment has to be sent on a case by case basis and the cost can vary dramatically based on the weight of the order, availability on the ship and frequency of shipments to the location.

    A typical shipment will have to by transported by truck to the dock, loaded onto the ship and perhaps even handed to a local partner courier within the destination country to ensure it arrives on time. Each of these stages on transport incurs a cost. If you are looking to place a heavy order, we would recommend contacting us for an accurate shipping quote.

    Our Partner Couriers

    We work with a selection of couriers to be able to bring you the best price and service, your available option for shipping will vary based on the size and weight of your order. Take a look at the services they provide below.

    • DHL - For individual parcels up to 31kg in weight but less than 200kg total. You will receive a text message notifying you of your order arrival, and offering options for reschedule on another weekday. This is available for mainland UK.
    • TNT - For individual parcels up to 70kg in weight and less than 200 kg total. TNT will email you to confirm that your shipment is scheduled, delivery will be anytime between 9am and 5pm on weekdays.
    • Griffin Logistics - For orders in excess of 200kg total weight. Griffin Logistics is our UK pallet partner, shipping large orders around the UK at the best rate on an AM delivery. We will endeavour to contact you where possible to book in a convenient date for a pallet delivery, please note that a pallet shipment is a curbside only delivey. You will be responsible for all unpacking of the equipment.
    • Kuehne + Nagel - For all overseas shipping. Shipping outside of the UK requires overseas freight for both package and pallet deliveries, Kuehne and Nagel may also work with local partners to ensure your package is received quickly and efficiently.

    Shipping FAQs

    • How can I get a shipping price quickly?

      Our delivery charges are calculated based on the total weight of your order and the delivery location. To see how much you will be charged, add the products you want to ship to your shopping cart and then add your address to see the shipping costs. Please remember VAT on shipping costs is added at the checkout and prices in the shopping cart are ex-VAT.

      For larger bulk orders, you can submit an equipment quote to us throught the website or contact our sales team who will help you with your order.

    • How can I save on shipping?

      Due to the weight and size of our equipment, it can be expensive to ship. We therefore reccomend ordering all the equipment you need in one consignment.

      In the UK we have a lighter consignment delivery service, however once the weight limit is exceed it will become a freight delivery.

    • How will I know my order has been received and shipped?

      As soon as you place an order you will be sent a confirmation email, closely followed by notifications that your order has been processed and shipped. We will provide delivery tracking information and estimated arrival times if available.

    • How can I track my order?

      If available order tracking details will be provided on the shipment email, otherwise we will include an estimated time of arrival. Orders placed Friday will ship on Monday and you'll receive tracking information by Tuesday.     • There's an item missing from my order

      If there's an item(s) missing from your order it may be the case that the item(s) is currently out of stock or it has been sent in a seperate parcel, you will have been notified in advance if this is the case.

      If you have not received any email communication about changes to your order, and you're still missing an item(s), please contact us using the form below including:

      For missing item(s) claims to be valid, please ensure that you make the claim within 7 days of your delivery date. Our customer support team will resolve the issue as soon as possible.

    • What if I no longer require the order?

    • My order has arrived damaged?

      If you receive any gear that was damaged in transit or after use, please take a picture of the damage and send it to [email protected] so we can resolve as quickly as possible.

    • What if I need faster shipping?

      We offer the fastest shipping at the most competitve rates we can, please see below for estimated shipment times.

      Once an order has been placed online, we are unable to make changes to shipping service and charges chosen.

      We may offer free shipping offers from time to time. Unless stated otherwise free shipping promotions are limited to mainland UK and only apply to Again Faster Equipment products (excluding flooring and cardio), keep an eye on our social media and email for deals and promotions.
