The Competition Power Rack Smith Machine Kit allows you to add a high-quality Smith Machine to your existing competition power rack, offering the same durability and quality as the rack itself. It is designed to use the frame of the rack as an extra-sturdy mount which means you can train more safely without a spotter thanks to the peg and hook system a Smith Machine provides.
Plus, with many gyms catering to at least a section of their clientele being novice or casual weightlifters, Smith Machines are a great way into the discipline, allowing them to hone their technique safely. What's more, the fact that a Smith Machine doesn't work your stabilising muscles in the same way as when using free weights means that lifters can increase the intensity applied to primary muscles.
Smooth barbell sleeves make for easy loading of weights, and they are designed for all standard Olympic plates with 2-inch openings. A light, textured knurl offers a small amount of grip and guidance for hand positioning for your lifts. Pegs are positioned 16cm apart and are positioned all the way along the length of the machine, allowing you great flexibility over your starting position.
Please note: this Smith Machine Kit is only compatible with our Competition Power Racks using 8ft uprights. It will not fit racks from other ranges or a Competition Rack with shorter/longer uprights.
